I like space. I can talk about space all the time. In fact my family has encouraged me to get out and talk to others about space to give them a break!

I have been an educator for over 20 years teaching all ages from preschool to adult. I currently teach astronomy, physics, and research classes at the high school level. I recently completed a NITARP research project through CalTech & JPL on stellar rotation in the Beta Pictoris Moving Group and presented the findings at the 247th meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Phoenix, AZ. I am also a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, a Stardust Ambassador, as well as a sitting member of the NASA eClips Educator Advisory Board. I received the 2012 Teacher of the Year award from Abbotts Hill Elementary School in Fulton County, GA. I am also the recipient of the 2023 Tony So Excellence in Education award from the ISS National Lab.

I love spending time stargazing, and am a student of astrophotography. I am blessed to have a wife of 30 years who loves to travel with me and look at the stars as we travel!
